Jill Healy Quintard is the creator, Manager and Lead Instructor of Body and Balance Pilates. She has been involved in the practise of Pilates since a young dancer studying Classical Ballet, which is where Pilates has remained for most of the 20th Century. It is only now that the general public have embraced this wonderful form of exercise and are now reaping the benefits that dancers have known for years.Jill is well known on the northern beaches (Sydney) for her innovative dance and fitness classes over the past 24 years. She began teaching open Pilates classes in Manly and Balgowlah in 1996, although she had been teaching it as part of her dance classes for many years before. She is a qualified school teacher and is currently teaching Yoga/Pilates/Dance to school children, as well as running adult and corporate classes in Fitness/Health related activities and adding a number of massage clients through her current class participants.She holds a Certificate 4 in Fitness (Australian Fitness Network) and a Certificate 4 in Remedial and Sports Therapies (NatureCare College, Sydney ), a Pilates Institute of Australasia in Basic Pilates (Sydney) and Pilates Institute Certificate in Matwork (U.K), a Certificate of Achievement in Reformer (Fitness First Australia) and Level 2 Pilates Certification (The Pilates Room, Sydney) and is continuing studies in nutrition as part of a Sport Nutrition Diploma. She has a holistic approach to health and fitness and has genuine integrity in her committment to teaching Pilates. Jill is continually upgrading and motivating her class participants to reach their full potential through her continuous learning. Jill now has an Intermediate Flow Yoga Certificate and is presently moving into the field of rehabilitation through her Pilates training. Body and Balance is now running ChiBall Classes and ZUMBA Fitness Classes
